This brand is inspired by the medieval aesthetics and its famous manuscripts. In these ancient texts, the drop cap was usually bigger than the other following consonants and vowels and it was hand-decorated with special details by amanuensis monks. Each letter retains important and unique elements, although it belongs to a larger “family” (a “font family” is a set of letters that have common visual elements). This metaphor has been applied to the designed brand, whose references, although belonging to a same context, retain some characteristic elements and differ one from the other due to their own colour, which makes each one easily recognizable.
The beginning of the first decade of the twenty first century has seen the native vines as the growing protagonists of the italian wine offer, in response to the standardization of taste by the so-called “international varieties”. The Marches has a range of over 20 denominations of origin, 6 of which are DOCG with native vines, such as Verdicchio, Lacrima, Sangiovese, Maceratino, Vernaccia, to name just a few.
